So here we are. I am Harrison. My playground is Harrison Galaxy. My workplace is cyberspace. This blog aims to lay open the business thinking behind what I do. I wish to connect with anyone interested in why I engage in whatever activities help propel me towards my goal. I want to be a valued partner on wherever your journey is set to take you.
I aim to transcend as many media, entertainment and educational arenas as possible. I start with a mixture of mobile phone game, ringtone and music promo. All integrated, and each in an area where change is all around us, and faster than ever before.
Take music for instance. How many times have you heard that ‘the record industry is dead’? Read any ‘new music’ blogger, music magazine website or online presence of a traditional broadsheet and the evidence grows every day. Number One selling artists are giving away their latest CD free with newspapers, letting fans download new material for whatever price they deem fit and ditching labels all together for tie-ins with live promoters. And all that without even considering the impact (illegal) free downloading contributes to the slash in physical album sales.
Who could be a game changer? Where is someone that can link several facets of ‘art’ together whilst simultaneously showing their can be new ways of making money to put food on their table? Which strategies will win out, showing the path for how anyone can use their creativity and prove that the ‘new economy’ is a change for good?
I hope that game changer is Harrison. And here I’ll share and discuss with you how it all hopefully unfolds.
